Scope and Contents The National Register of Historic Places nomination form describes the Ashland Bank. Constructed in 1884 the building became the first banking resource for the city of Ashland. The building ceased to be the Bank of Ashland in 1939. Mr. Henry G. Enders purchased it and rented it out as office space and used by a Justice of the Peace for many years. These were put into place to preserve the Historic nature, as each is on the National Register of Historic Places.
