Biography
Local historian and author Kay Atwood, who has written extensively about the Southern Oregon region. Atwood’s books include Illahe: The Story of Settlement in the Rogue River Canyon, Mill Creek Journal: Ashland Oregon, 1850-1860, and Chaining Oregon: Surveying the Public Lands of the Pacific Northwest, 1851-1855. Her many other books and articles explore the settlement and development of communities in Southern Oregon, and include National Register nominations, cultural resource inventories, and environmental and organizational histories.

The National Registry of Historic Places nomination form describes the Clark–Jackson House located in Medford. Frank C. Clark designed the Colonial Revival house for his family in 1930. The file consists of plot plans, correspondence concerning nomination, biographical sketch, newspaper article, information on Frank C. Clark buildings in Rogue Valley, photograph negatives and slides.

The National Register of Historic Places form describes the Andrew J. Fredenburg House, in Medford, built in 1892 as a private residence. It is the only remaining example of the brick houses built before 1900 in the community.
The documents contain correspondence regarding the nomination, legal documents, a letter containing the family history, plot plans, floor plans, and images of the home.

The different materials provide information about the Hanley Farm, including a history of the Hanley family. In 1982, Mary Hanley the last of the immediate family donated the farm to the Southern Oregon Historical Society, which has developed it into a "living historical farm."
The documents include correspondence regarding placing the farm on the National Registry of Historic Places, floor plans of the house and buildings and images of newspaper articles.

Jackson County Courthouse, Eighth Street and Oakdale Avenue, Medford, Oregon, 1985
The National Registry of Historic Places form describes the Jackson County Courthouse as built in 1932, and designed by architect John G. Link. Medford became the county seat in Southern Oregon in 1927 and Jacksonville's courthouse was overcrowded, and this was a much-needed solution.
Research documents included are the history of the architect, newspaper images, correspondence regarding the nomination, images of the courthouse, and handwritten notes.
Medford Downtown Historic District, 1997
The National Register of Historic Places describes the Medford Downtown Historic District as a combination of private, public-local, and public-Federal buildings that make up the district. The text describes each of the 376 historic buildings in the downtown area. A summary of this historical area covers the 1880s through 1948 giving details of businesses and patrons of the city and how it developed over the years. There is also an image of the District Sketch Map.
