Scope and Contents
The real estate documents include both Donation Land Claim numbers 40 and 42. The land was involved in a judgment against the south half of Donation Land Claim 40 due to a debt against businessmen Able D. Helman, Eli K. Anderson, and James F. Anderson under the business name Abel D. Helman. There were numerous owners from 1854 through 1944. Also included are the documents of Enders Addition to the City of Ashland is included, with two maps of the addition attached in the papers. Other owners in these documents are John R. Helman, John B. Sheldon, Martin L. McCall, Robert B. Hargadine, Ivan D., Lucien B., and Lindsay Applegate, Henry G. and Jennie M. Enders, and their heirs.
