Ingram, an early Forest Service range ecologist. The Story covers Douglas Ingram's work as a botanist in the PNW and his death in the Camas Creek Fire of1929. Foster was Deputy Supervisor of Crater National Forest from 1904-1917. Foster was also a supervisor of various other Pacific Northwest Forests. L-46 "Witness Statement regarding the George Duncan Shooting," of 1952 in Prospect, Oregon. The affidavit like statement by RRNF fire control officer Lowell Ash, who witnessed the Elk Creek shooting death of Oregon State Police Officer Phil Lowd by the "hermit trapper" George Duncan. The shooting resulted in a lengthy manhunt. A portrayal of the incident appeared on the "Gangbusters" television show. [RR-SNF/SOU-HL]
