Lighting and Paving Act, 1849
Scope and Contents
The notice explains the Lighting and Paving Act which requires all the houses adjoining the streets to clean out their gutters, foot pavements, and channels, in front, behind, and on the sides. All the dirt that arises from this cleaning will be collected, put together, and collected by the Scavenger. Enacted by order of Richard Mason, Clerk to the said Commissioners.
