Scope and Contents
The National Register of Historic Places nomination form breaks down the Railroad District into details of who, what, when, and where it began - starting with the setting of the Railroad District located in the Bear Creek portion of the Rogue River Valley. Materials provide descriptions of styles and construction methods in building the Railroad District. History of Ashland details the different eras of development with a detailed list of the properties and the commonly known names of each one. Additionally, there is a brief biography of some influential people who are instrumental in the building of the Ashland Railroad District.
